ARTECH CNC Officially Launches New Large-Size 3D Printer, Breaking Bottlenecks in Efficiency and Precision for Large-Scale Model Printing

Recently, ARTECH CNC COMPANY (hereinafter referred to as "ARTECH CNC"), a company focusing on high-end CNC equipment R&D, officially released its new large-size 3D printer (3D Printer Large Size). Tailored to meet industrial-grade large-scale model printing needs, this product features core advantages including "ultra-large build volume, high-precision output, and multi-material compatibility." It can be widely applied in fields such as architectural sand tables, film/television props, and industrial prototypes, solving the pain points of traditional large-size printing—"low efficiency, poor precision, and limited material options"—and filling the industry gap for products that balance large size and high precision.
The new large-size 3D printer achieves key breakthroughs in core parameters: its build volume reaches 1500×1500×1200mm (L×W×H), representing a 40% increase in average build space compared to similar products on the market. It can print 3-meter-class large architectural sand table components or complete film/television scene foam props in one piece, eliminating the need for subsequent splicing. This significantly reduces labor assembly costs and splicing errors. Meanwhile, the equipment boasts a positioning accuracy of ±0.02mm and supports flexible adjustment of layer height from 0.5mm to 6mm. Even in large-size printing scenarios, it can accurately reproduce details such as model surface textures and hollow structures, meeting customers' strict precision requirements.
In terms of material compatibility, the new printer breaks the limitation of traditional large-size equipment—"only supporting single foam material"—and is compatible with various industrial-grade materials including ABS, PC, PETG, and PP+GF. Particularly for high-frequency customer-used materials such as foam (EPS/EVA) and wood composite materials, the printer’s nozzle heating system and material feeding mechanism have been optimized: the maximum nozzle temperature reaches 350℃ (customizable for over-temperature needs), and combined with the precise material control technology of the automatic feeder, it avoids common issues in large-size printing such as material clogging and weak inter-layer adhesion. Addressing the easy deformation of foam materials, the equipment is also equipped with a constant-temperature workbench (≤120℃) and an enclosed printing chamber to stabilize the printing environment temperature, ensuring no warping of large foam models after forming.
In terms of operation and efficiency, the equipment is equipped with a 12-inch color capacitive touch screen and supports the import of multiple slicing formats including STL, OBJ, and STP. Combined with self-developed intelligent slicing software, it can automatically optimize the printing path for large-size models. While reducing material waste, it increases the printing speed to 100-300mm/s, representing a 50% efficiency improvement compared to traditional large-size equipment. Taking a 1.2-meter-tall architectural sand table exterior wall model as an example, the equipment can complete printing in 8 hours, whereas traditional equipment requires 12-15 hours, significantly shortening the customer’s production cycle.
"Large-size printing has always been an industry challenge—either sacrificing precision for size or facing low efficiency that hinders mass production," said the head of ARTECH CNC’s product R&D department. He added that the new large-size 3D printer, driven by the dual engines of "mechanical structure optimization + intelligent software algorithms," achieves the balance of "large size, high precision, and high efficiency." Currently, three customers in the architectural model and film/television prop sectors have completed pre-order contracts, and mass production and delivery of the equipment are expected to officially start next month.
As a core layout product of ARTECH CNC in the large-size printing field, the launch of the new 3D printer not only enriches the company’s product matrix—covering "from precision milling to 3D printing"—but also helps more manufacturing enterprises break through large-size production bottlenecks and accelerate the transformation from "small-batch customization" to "large-scale high-precision production." In the future, ARTECH CNC will also launch a 2000×2000×1500mm extra-large customized version based on customer feedback to further meet the large-size printing needs of different industries.
